Shake your Boteh!

I finally jumped on the Boteh bandwagon. It's a scarf whose name translates to 'falling leaves'. I think. Anywho, it was in the Spring 2007 issue of Interweave Crochet and is just such a brilliant bit of yarn-gineering. Simple and elegant. I made mine with the wonderful Angora Soft that I purchased from WEBS.

It used just over 3 skeins, so I have nearly 7 left. What to make?

And let me just say, this yarn is a real pleasure to work with. Easy on the hands, and it makes such a nice un-stiff fabric. Too bad they don't have more colors, I'd totally stock up.

Also, I went to my LYS, Dagmar's, the other day in search of sock yarn. I got a book from Amazon a couple of months ago titled Crocheted Socks! by Janet Rehfeldt and Mary Jane Wood and finally just couldn't wait to dive in any longer. I picked up some Regia 4 fadig Jacquard, which is 75% wool and 25% polyamide. Now I have no idea how the actual socks will come out, but can I just say I love this yarn?! So smooth, and the colorway makes me happy. Dark blue, dark and light purples, black and white bits...it makes me smile.

Also, Dagmar offers private knitting lessons, which I think I'll be taking. What can I say? The birch knitting needles are playing on my guilt gland.
